Who we are

At the heart of our program is XtraWimpysCatalyst, Zorro, a 2015 black stallion by Wimpys Little Step, whose talent, pedigree, and disposition embody the best of modern performance breeding. With multiple world titles and over $70,000 in lifetime earnings across reining and ranch events, Zorro represents the perfect blend of power, intelligence, and willingness.

Zorro’s show record is a testament to his exceptional ability and consistency in the arena. He is a 4x PHBA World Champion, IRHA World Champion, 2x NSBA Reserve World Champion, and 3x AQHA Congress Champion. In addition, he is an NRBC Champion, Derby Champion, and Futurity Champion, and qualified for The Run For a Million in both 2023 and 2024. Continuing to compete at the highest levels, Zorro is now approaching $100,000 in lifetime earnings.

His pedigree is equally impressive. His sire, Wimpys Little Step, boasts over $13 million in offspring earnings, while his dam has produced more than $350,000 in winning offspring.

Zorro is 4-Panel Negative (GBED N/GBED, HYPP N/N, PSSM N/N, HERDA N/N, MH N/N). His color testing reads E/e. a/a, nd1/nd2.

Zorro is triple registered with the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), the Palomino Horse Breeders Association (PHBA), and National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA).

Our breeding program is dedicated to producing exceptional horses that carry his athleticism, trainability, and presence into the next generation. We aim to create horses bred to perform and built to last, both in the show pen and at home in the barn.
